Verica Kovacevska is a Zurich based artist, whose work consists mostly of live, site/context-specific, durational performances and projects.

Often playful, humorous, and deeply personal, her work reflects on contemporary socio-cultural and philosophical issues, which have been characterised by implicating both herself and audience directly into the artwork. This creates works that essentially depend on the reaction and involvement of the audience, and invest in questions of chance, immediacy, reality, and experience.

Kovacevska graduated in 2004 at the University of Plymouth (UK) in BA Visual Art with Theatre and Performance, and in 2007 at the University of Cambridge (UK) in MPhil Arts, Culture and Education. She is a recipient of several grants and scholarships and has been nominated for two international art awards. Her work has been shown in numerous venues in Macedonia, Great Britain, Italy, Germany, Holland, Albania, Slovenia, Russia, Mexico, Cuba, and the USA.
